[85] BIOGRAPHY: Having been brought up by pioneer parents, Blanche was taught endurance and loyalty. She attended the local schools, and the Academy at Snowflake. She also attended Flagstaff State College, but never graduated. She passed the State Teachers examination and was able to teach school in Taylor, Arizona for one year and in Lakeside, Navajo, Arizona for five years. After a period of courtship with Horace Hansen they were married in the Salt Lake Temple on October 6, 1920. She taught school another year in Lakeside and also completed the second half of a term of teaching in Shumway, Arizona. Her first child was born January 3, 1922. They then moved to Leupp, Arizona and spent six months there. Later they moved to Winslow, Arizona where they built a home. [110] HISTORY: Elijah was born 7 January 1883. He was about 19 when his family moved to Alamo, Lincoln, Nevada. He married Issa Banda Milllet on 24 December 1910 in Alamo, Nevada. Elijah lived mostly around Alamo where his parents were. He worked mostly for the cattlemen of Pahrangat Valley. He loved horses and alsways had two or three beautiful horses and good saddles, bridles, martingales, and fancy chaps and bright colored handkerchiefs.
