BIOGRAPHY: When Thomas was a small boy his mother left his father whil e his father was fulfilling a mission in Las Vegas, Clark, Nevada. Thoma s's mother later married George Pectol and settled in Washington, Utah i n 1861. Thomas grew up in southern Utah. He would spend months at a tim e working on the cattle ranch. There wasn't a job that was too hard fo r him to undertake. During the first 20 years of his mature life, the ol d facotry pay was about all the means of exhcange to Thomas. Thomas's fa ther died a wealthy man in Salt Lake City, but he didn't give any of hi s money to his children, whom he hardly knew. All of his money was wille d to the children in Salt Lake City.
In June of 1899 they moved to the farm which was five miles south of Wash ington. When Thomas had just two children they moved to Arizona with hi s wife's family. They had another child who was born in Layton, Arizona . They named her Nel. Thomas suffered from Malaria most of the time i n Arizona. He was sick when they made the return trip to Washington. Th omas never turned anyone away hungry from his home. He was not a churchg oer, but he had lots of faith. Thomas had very little schooling, but h e could read fluently and write really well. Thomas passed away 3 July 1 924.
