BIRTH: Alternate date 9 Feb 1809 from the book,"Averett Family History" , p. 11.

BIOGRAPHY: Jannet Averett Kelsey had ten children. Four of them died sh ortly after birth.
Her name was spelled Jannet Averett on the Kelsey Temple Records of ordin ancers performed in the Logan Temple between years 1884-1905.

NAME SPELLING: Source: Mrs. Laura E. Wagstaff, copied from the Everto n Book: Regarding the spelling of the names of Jennet Averett Kelsey an d her daughter Elenor Jennet Kelsey Everton, we present the following: I n the Kelsey fmily bible there is an old scrap of paper yellowed with ag e in the handwriting of Samuel A. P. Kelsey. He spells his wife's name J annet. His daughter's birth is recorded on the same paper and spelled El lenor J. The "Deaths" in the Kelsey bible contain entrees in what appear s to be the same handwriting. This time the mother's name is spelled Jen net and the daughter's Elennor Jennet. In the Thomas Everton family bibl e, in the hand writing of Levi Walter Everton, the daughter's name is spe lled Ellennor Jennet. In the Levi Walter Evereton family bible which wa s kept by his wife after she married Chauncy Rogers, in what appears to b e the handwriting of Levi Walter Everton, he writes his wife's name Ellen nor Jennett. In the first Everton temple record there is a record of sea lings performed by Marion C. Everton and his sister Lauretta who should k nown how to spell their mother's name and in this record it is spelled El enor Janet.
