[250] Elijah Averett born 1810 did temple work for his grandfather George Gill born 1753 and his greatgrandfather, Robert Gill. For this reason I have determined that his father is Robert and not George Gill as recorded in Ancestral Quest. Robert Gill is also mentioned as a member of the Fishing Creek Presbyterian Church in Chester County, South Carolina. SOURCE: Elenor Halstead

BIOGRAPHY: John is a brother to Robert. Many have mistaken our line to come through John. Per Eleanor Halstead from the book "Latch Strings by Twilya Gill Wright, who is a descendant of George Gill, the brother to Robert and John Gill". Twilya says that that George Gill who married Jennet Hamilton is Robert's son. Also Elisha Averett in doing temple work in Nauvoo stated that he was doing work for his great grandfather Robert Gill, in Nauvoo.
