[7] BIRTH: Carl Neilson was raised in an orphan assylum and could not trace his ancestry. He was a farmer. In 1853 he moved to Ephriam, Utah where they lived the rest of their lives. Marriage Varation: 21 May 1880 was married in the St. George Temple, from the Charles Shumway Family 1806-1979 Book, p. 496.
HISTORY: Mormon was born 1 January 1854 at Big Cottonwood, Salt Lake, Utah. Their family lived in Cache Valley for about 18 years and then they moved to Wellsville, Mormon's mother had five children. Six more children were born in Cache Valley. In 1877 Mormon's father was called by Brigham Young to help settle Arizona. They lived in Concho for a short time and then moved to Taylor, then to Shumway. The next time we find them they moved to Kanab, Kane, Utah. Eight children were born to Sarah and Mormon in Kanab. In 1902, they moved to Alamo, Lincoln, Nevada. They bought a home in Alamo and lived there the rest of their lives. Mormon's wife Sarah Ann died on 28 May, 1928. Mormon continued living at his home with his daughter Blanche. Mormon celebrated his 85th birthday January of 1939, and he passed away the next day.
