[237] Ruth had a child born to her fathered by a man who intended to marry her but did not. He was adopted by the Merrill family who resided in Long Beach at that time. They eventually moved to Bountifull Utah. A young married man named Paul Merrill who married the sister of Vern Lockhart who was a friend of Stewart Bradford.
