SOURCES: Lease (professional Researcher in Ireland said Gills and Hamilto ns had land next door to each other in Ireland.)

Patrick Hamilton held lease of land previously held by Patrick Hamilton 1 693. Immigrated to America 1756 at same time as George Gill. He was alrea dy married. His daughter Jennet must have been born after the family reac hed America.

Brother Patrick Hamilton and George Gill had held leases from the Clanbri ssel estate; George Gill at Clanbrassil near Lurgan and Patrick Hamilto n at Granshaw, Comber, Down, Ireland. Patrick held the benefit of a leas e dated 1693 and granted to Patrick Hamilton of Granshaw, who in that yea r sold his inheritance in the Clanbrassil estate to Sir Robert Colvil wh o later disposed of the head lease to the Earl of Clanbrassel. Received f rom Irish Research.

FATHER: Ancestral file lists Patrick Hamilton (1700) as the father of Pa trick Hamilton. Patrick Hamilton (1700) states in his will that his so n Patrick has gone overseas. Immigration ship's lists states that Patric k leaves 4 years after this will is written by Patrick (1700). HISTORY: Edwin's mother died when he was about 3 years old, leaving tw o babies, myself and brother Bill. Soon after his mother died his fathe r went on mission to England. When his father came home from his missio n he married again. For a few years Edwin went to school in Taylor and l ived with his Grandma Solomon, and later went to school at Shumway. On 2 5th of August 1907, he received a call to go on a mission to the souther n states. On April 5, 1911 he married Christy in the Salt Lake Temple . The summer after they were married they lived at the ranch in Black Ca nyon in a Mexican style hut with a dirt roof and dirt floor. In the fal l Edwin moved Christy to Taylor and in the summer of 1912 he bought a lo t and house in Taylor. Edwin died June 25, 1936 in Winslow, Arizona.
