For eight of her confinements, Phoebe Ann Barron of Washington was her mi dwife. On On June 1, 1899 they moved to Washington Field. Four of her ch ildren graduated from Dixie High School, and one from the Dixie College . Jack went on to BYU and obtained his degree. At the time of her deat h at Effie's home in St. George, on February 22, 1935, after three week s of illness of heart trouble, she had six living children, thirty grandc hildren, and two great-grandchildren. Now in June 1940, there are sixtee n great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held in Washington, and sh e was buried beside Father and their children.
