Americus was nicknamed "Mack". Joyce Lindstrom has mother of Americus Wilson Stewart as Charlotte Williams. I think this is in error as Charlotte Williams died in 1873. Americus was born in 1881. So his correct mother is Mariah W. Johnson. Researcher: Georgenia Stewart.

HISTORY: He had land south of the Hudson-Athens ferry slip as well as in the Kinderhook area. In 1705 he was a deacon in the Lutheran Church and in 1720 he was listed as a freeholder in Claverack. He was an Indian interpreter at all of the great meetings for many years. On Oct 24, 1724, he deeded property to his "sons, Gerrit and Jacob, who have dutifully assisted and supported me in my old age."
