HE WAS PAID WITH LAND GIVEN TO HI M WHICH WAS COMPOSED IN PART BY THE J. PAUL GETTY OIL FIELD AND THE LAN D WHERE THE STATE CAPITAL IS NOW LOCATED. HE LET IT GO FOR TAXES IN TH E OKLA DEPRESSION AROUND 1918. ELIZABETH CAME TO OKLAHOMA CITY WITH HER M OTHER AND FATHER IN A COVERED WAGON FROM TEXAS. SHE LIVED WITH HER PAREN TS AT 1124 N.E. 14TH STREET, OKLA CITY AND WHEN SHE MARRIED JOHN, THEY BU ILT A HOUSE AT 1017 N.E. 16TH STREET WHERE BETTY AND BILL WERE BORN. SH E NEXT LIVED AT BETHANY, OK AND THEN PUTNAM CITY, OK. LATER MOVED TO 360 1 GRAND BLVD NEXT TO WILL ROGERS PARK IN OK CITY. WHEN JOHN DIED SHE MOVE D FOR A SHORT TIME TO WICHITA, KS AND THEN RETURNED TO OKLA CITY. SHE LAT ER MOVED TO CLOVIS, NM WHICH WAS HER LAST RESIDENCE. SHE IS BURIED IN AL BQ.,NM AT THE = = = = WHERE SHE HAS A BEAUTIFUL MONUMENT TO HER DONE B Y THE FAMILY. A VERY TENDER AND LOVING PERSON AND THE BEST OF MOTHERS... ...
