NOTES: There is a possibilty that Canida Lee/Lea had two wives. The 1850 census lists wife as Maleca, (28 years). The 1870 census list wife as Martha (36). The age differences from one census to another is significant. The mother-in law, Martha Maxwell, is living with them in the 1850 and 1870 census. There is also a ten year break in child bearing. I could not find this family in the 1860 Census of Tennessee. Concerening the child McDaniel Prior that is living with them in the 1870 census: Sarah Lee (aunt of Cannady Lee) and David Stewart had a granddaughter, Mary Catherine Stewart, who married Pleasant Prior Maybe McDaniel Prior is their child.
