Comments: I am researching the McAliley family as my husband i s descended from Samuel McAliley, Sr., via his son John McAliley (brothe r of Jennie McAliley Howard) of Fayette Co., IL. By the way, their mothe r was Jennie (Jennette, Janet or Jane?) Johnson. Also, I have been told t hat "McAliley" -- spelled without any double Ls -- is the Chester Co., SC , spelling. NOTES: Edmund Drake's second wife, Lucindia, is listed on this census wit h their five other children. They were listed as having been married fo r 10 years at this time. Nancy Arvinsa Stewart had passed away in 1887 . I believe Samuel Duke to be her son because of his age.
