NOTES: There is a possibilty that Canida Lee/Lea had two wives. The 185 0 census lists wife as Maleca, (28 years). The 1870 census list wife a s Martha (36). The age differences from one census to another is signifi cant. The mother-in law, Martha Maxwell, is living with them in the 185 0 and 1870 census. There is also a ten year break in child bearing . I could not find this family in the 1860 Census of Tennessee. Conceren ing the child McDaniel Prior that is living with them in the 1870 census : Sarah Lee (aunt of Cannady Lee) and David Stewart had a granddaughter , Mary Catherine Stewart, who married Pleasant Prior Maybe McDaniel Prio r is their child.
