HISTORY: He had land south of the Hudson-Athens ferry slip as well as i n the Kinderhook area. In 1705 he was a deacon in the Lutheran Church an d in 1720 he was listed as a freeholder in Claverack. He was an Indian in terpreter at all of the great meetings for many years. On Oct 24, 1724, h e deeded property to his "sons, Gerrit and Jacob, who have dutifully assi sted and supported me in my old age."
