His childre n were Sara J., Lucyu E., Margaret A., Robert E., and James C., and Joh n L. His sister-in-law, Mary Ann Prior, and his mother-in-law, Polly Ste wart, age 60, were also living there. Notes

Mary (Polly) Van Hooser born 1783 (she was 67 in the 1850 census) in Mont ogomery Co., Virginia, the eldest daughter of Abraham Van Hooser and Mar y Williams. She married Daniel Reese 15 Oct 1802 in Grainger Co., Teness ee. They moved with her parents to Overton Co., Tennessee and thence t o Madison Co., Illinois in 1812. She died after 1850 and both are burie d in the Daniel Reece graveyard, which no longer exists. According to th e 1820, 1830, 1840, & 1850 Censuses of Madison Co., Illinois they had a l arge family.
