Stewart, Almira, age 40, white, female, born in Tennessee
Stewart, Charles J., age 2, white, male, born in Arkansas
NOTES: This family is living close to a William Stewart and an Ervin Howa rd. Ervin Howard married Mary. A. Stewart, Joseph B. Stewart's daughter . William Stewart (1807) could possibly be a brother to Joseph Stewart. T here are more children listed on this census. For a full record, look t o the notes of Joseph B. Stewart.

NOTES: At the time of this census, Joseph Stewart is not living with hi s family. There is a Joseph Stewart, living in Township 1, Tuolumne, Cali fornia in the 1860 census. He may have gone down to California for the go ld rush and then returned to his family before the 1870 census of Johnson , Arkansas. There are more children listed on this census.
