[1522] NOTES: Ardelia was the youngest of 3 daughters (all illigitimate) born to Rachel Swallows. Rachel was born 1821 to Jacob and Sarah Copeland Swallows. Rachel filed a "bastardy case" in 1857 against a Jesse Harris for her daughter, I assume this was Ardelia. I have had no luck finding out who Jesse Harris might be, may have just been passing through! though we have lots of Harris' in Overton Co. Rachel and her sister, Polina, were arrested more than once for operating a 'bawdy house'! Rachel had the 3 daughters and never married and all 3 daughters had children but never married. [2434] HISTORY: Volckert Van Hoesen, b. 1658 (7-1665) Rensselaerswyck or Albany, NY; moved to Looneenburg; md. Marytje (Mary) Benson. He inherited Claverack land across the Kleykuls Kill along the Kalebergh. He died in 1725. After Jan Fransee's death, his widow married Gerrit Visbeeck.
