Mary (Polly) Van Hooser born 1783 (she was 67 in the 1850 census) in Mont
ogomery Co., Virginia, the eldest daughter of Abraham Van Hooser and Mar
y Williams. She married Daniel Reese on 15 Oct 1802 in Grainger Co., Ten
essee. He was born abt 1781 in Virginia, died 23 Jan 1848 in Madison Co.
, Illinois. They moved with her parents to Overton Co., Tennessee and th
ence to Madison Co., Illinois in 1812. She died after 1850 and both ar
e buried in the Daniel Reece graveyard, which no longer exists. Accordin
g to the 1820, 1830, 1840, & 1850 Censuses of Madison Co., Illinois the
