David L. and Jessie Lamb Stewart
They were always a big part of the goings on in Alamo. Active in church , community and in helping and doing for other.
Dave was sheriff. They built a big home and boarded school teachers.
Jessie was always so full of fun. Could entertain or just make you laugh , have fun and be happy when you were with her. She was a real favorit e of the young people. She had a gerat influence over them. She could j oin in and allow a little rascality but nothing ever got out of line or w ent too far so we didn't feel like we had to be too goody-goody. Dave wa s there, easy going and willing and able to help anyone.
Jessie was alway sewing or doing for people. She used to come up and ge t whatever sewing Mama needed done. She always thought of thoughtful thi ngs to do. Like taking a picture of Earl's mother off a group picture. S he had it framed and brought it to us. When I had my last baby she brough t a beautiful dress she had made and helped with a shower for me. Source : Theresa Wadsworth
