SOURCE: Harold Lea Fiske states: I have a suspicion the Miranda LEE wh o married John D. WEST was one of the four "unidentified" daughters of Ma lichi LEA. It arises from the language in Deed Book "M" page 391 where , on 3 Sep 1853, "John D. and Maranda WEST and Henry LEA" sold their "und ivided interest" in land "on Roaring River at Mathews Creek near Crockett 's Camp" to Isaac C. COOPER.
I am assuming the "undivided interest" arose through an inheritance. (I h ave put this here because I can't connect this document with any of the W ests, or Coopers, or Matthews, but I know it has something to do with thi s family. Will have to research more. Georgenia Stewart)
