!BIRTH: Benjamin Felix Stewart was five years old in the 1830 Fayette Co., Illinois Census.
MARRIAGE: Vol 1 Bk 3, Lee Co., Early Marriages states B.F. Stewart married Mary Howard on 20 Sep 1846. Marriage performed by Joesph Howard who was a Cumberland Presbyterian minister. Joseph Howard was also his wife's father. B.F. Stewart was also a Justice of the Peace. Source: Georgenia Stewart

Notes: Timothy Hardin, Wed Oct 21, 1998, on the Lee Co., Iowa GenWeb page posted the following query: I am looking for info on the family of Sarah Elizabeth STEWART, born 13 July 1847 Lee Co. Iowa. Her parents were Benjamin F. STEWART and Mary HOWARD. Later, Sarah Elizabeth married William Presley HARDIN on 24 October 1872 in Navarro Co. Texas. The descendants of David Stewart and Sarah Lee went down into Navarro Co., Texas, namely Polly Stewart Davis. Howard (age 24 years) married Allice Holland (age 15 years) on the seventeeth day of March 1849. By B.F. Stewart, Justice of the Peace, Lee County, Iowa. This means B.F. My great grandmother, Annie Eliza Stewart Smmerville, was Benjamin and Mary Stewart's granddaughter. In notes of "Granny S." I found reference to a Molly, that died as an infant. If Molly was Martha, she lived to be over 10 years old more likely Martha was married by 1870. It is possible there was a Molly that died, going by gaps in ages of children on censuses. "Granny S" also said, "Felix taught school there, Purdon Community, Navarro County, Texas. They later moved to Dallas Texas. Felix worked in the first flour mill in Dallas. He was a tailor and also fixed clocks, sewing machines, etc. They later came to Mason Co., where he homesteaded a place six miles nort of the town of Mason, Texas. I have verified they were in Mason Co., in 1880. Mason County Census for 1880; page 21, #162.
Benjamin Felix, Mary, George W., Paralee, (George and Fannie's daughter, James Edward, (an unknown Child) and Infant girl, (an unknown child) are buried in Lo No. SW, in Block No. ? in the 12 section of Gooch Cemetery in Mason, Texas.
One of the girls is Nancy Stewart who married Mose Roberts. There was no other info on them. This came from the notes I found in "Granny S's" papers. Info from Linda Stewart, Brady, Texas
